One pretty big problem!

Ok i wanted to play gears of war and i got a disc unreadable so i do all i can to try and clean the disc. Eventually i give up and decide to play halo n cod4 well like a week later i take a look at my halo disc and it was scratched like hell but it still worked. If i turned my console on with halo in it my 360 takes ages to load the game but after that it works fine then when i play cod4 which is also scratched like hell it works but wont load any multiplayer maps. now i tested it on some old dug up xbox game (spyro it was a horrible week playing this game) and it got scratched as well but differnt in circular scratches around the disc not from the centre out like halo or cod neway need some help any suggestions? One pretty big problem!
if you have a warranty, send it away now. If not, there are a few things you can do:Put the xbox horizontally, not vertically.Make sure you're not moving it accidentally (Maybe by sitting on a wire when a disc is playing)Attach some pads to the inside of the disk trayOne pretty big problem!
yer it sits horizontal n i dont touch it plus the sadest thing is that the warrenty ended like 3 days before this started happening thx anyway dont know how the cable will effect it though?
o n its not sitting on a wire btw
Ignore the cable. Wording error. It sounds like you have a loose laser that reads the disk. You could fix it for about $50 from an independant repair company, or check out the link i posted
ok well io checked the link wouldnt that void the 3 flashing lights rrod if u take it appart
Yeah but if your warranty's up then it wont cover them either. Plus I can email you A RROD fix if you need one
i dont have rrod just saying but anyway i might just have to pull 100 bucks out of my a$$ to get it fixed ( Australian) thx for the help anyway. man i was going to put my money to build a wii fund.

Yeah the Xbox 360's dirt cheap so expect quite a few problems. Ive only had one for 3 weeks and now it has disc read errors.

If it RROD's send me a PM, because typing it up takes a while, and i'll need to save a document.
theres a sticky for this.
