So, we've got a Spider-Man who doesn't care about his secret identity and is killing civilians even when he's not under the black suit's influence. On top of that, Spidey has the whiniest voice I've ever heard for a hero. Seriously, it's like they told him to pretend he was 13... and that could be the case because, again, you'll have no idea what the context around this story is when you're playing. Is he in high school? Is he working for the Bugle? Is Aunt May alive?''That quote from the IGN review 5.7 score (I think) tells us the game isn't even good for Marvel fans that just want a Spider Man story.

My xbox lasted so long and then in december it broke with e74 error. Now ive been plaiyng it since i got it back and it just broke again. I check the xbox site and it is out of warranty!So does this mean everyone thats had it break because of no fault of their own they have had to pay for it each time?? Im waiting on my 4th 360 from MS today to arrive. My launch 360 got 3RROD but I had no warranty. It lasted 8 whole months. I bought another one a couple months later...Sep28th..It lasted about a year or so...IT got RROD..I had a warranty this time...Got back a refurb...IT lasted a few months...then it wouldnt read discs any longer..I called MS support and asked about it...They were going to make me pay 99$ to get it fixed...I said NO WAY I was paying for a repaire on something that isnt my fault. I was very stern and stood my ground. I wasnt rude, but just stern...They said they would fix it for free...Give me a month or so of LIVE free...and extend the warranty on it another 3 months.As much as I hate MS this gen...I have to give props for fixing 360s for free if they get RROD and for fixing my 360 for free even though they didnt have to....I still doubt I will support them nextgen, but I do give props where props are due...Call them up and be stern with them...stand your ground....be nice but firm..

got my elite 2 months after it came out and its still going strong =)i might add i bought 2-3 years of warranty from best buy...in case it does die or get RROD,they make me send it in and they send back a gift card worth the full value...which is better than a fixed 360

If you guys ever get sick of e74, rrod, or weird colors just cut a hole the size of a standerd pc fan, and rig up to a 12volt power supply, and you will not repeat will not ever have to worry about heat getting to your 360, however it will look pretty stupid but it works for me going on 2 years 8)

Xbox 360 won't detect my Wireless Networ ...
Microsoft at it's finest. It happened once before, about two or three months ago, and it just randomly started working again. Well now it stopped when I got home froms chool. Whenever I run tests it just says Wireless Adapter: Disconnected. I tried connecting it again, same thing. Restarted my Xbox, same thing. Blew into it like a **** NES cartridge, which should be extinct by now, and it doesn't work. It's impossible to find help because there's no light at the back if it, it's just blank.Can anyone help me? If I wanted to pay 100$ for a piece of **** I would have shopped at Best Buy. Xbox 360 won't detect my Wireless Networ ...

on live if i join my other friends game will my character go over to his game or will i just be a default character and will i progress farthur in the game if i do stuff in his game or the same thing if my friend comes over to my gameFable 2 Question coop

ive completed halo on legendary, but im trying to get the campaign meta game achivements.every time i try it on mission 5 i score 20,000+ points and dont get the achievement, i definateley dont have it yet and i definatley have got the required points. single player and co-op. any suggestions??Halo 3 meta campiagn issue.

Reserves are generally a scam; however, if you get a bonus it can be worth it. Example:

Its a heck of alot of fun! Played it at my buddys on his 360 for about an hour and now im currently playing it on pc at my place. Its alot of fun and very beautiful scenary i must say! pro vs arcade
My bro took his 360 with him to college, so im stuck without one and i need to buy one for fable and rockband 2.I was wondering if the arcade or pro is a better buy. The hardrive part is no problem since i can buy one off of my buddy for 30$(20gb). I have a 20g HDD and I wish it were bigger. I'd recommend just getting the Pro for two reasons. 60gigger and warranty coverage. You are only $20 away from the Pro. You also would end up with a wired controller if you went with the Arcade. That kinda sucks.

well in endwar weather you win or lose you get money to use to upgrade\customise your units, which to me adds a lot to the game. over 50% of the games i was in ended up with me getting nothing, which can be very frustrating.Edit: meant to quote, this is a response to the above post

I played around 3 games online after picking the game up today, everyone there was swearing, using the F and N words like commas, and anytime anyone spoke someone made fun of their accent. Saints row was mindless fun (especially the RIDICULOUS pimp slap) and i'm really enjoying SP and Co-op, but MP to have a godawful community The Saints row online community..*ahem*

Wow a 5.5? That would put it in the same league as the Incredible Hulk game that came out earlier this year. Which I played and hated due the bugs, glitching, and crashes. Spiderman and Hulk are my favorite characters but if this game is that bad then I just might pass.
Who didn't expect this? I didn't even care about the game because i knew it would be horrible or at the most mediocre.
Ughhh everything he said in the video review is all the things i hoped this would not contain. REPETITIVE GAMPLEAY why cant they come up with unique missions. Like sneakin into buildings tracking things. Maybe were you slow motions action sequences that you have to do God of War moves to so stuff i dont know DIFFERENT. Ill rent it and try it out, sux cause i really was looking for to having fun with this one.
I'm not surprised. Everything that I've seen made it look like Spider-Man 3 with a new story.
Not surprised honestly. The character animations look terrible from what I've seen! It almost looks like they just re-textured Spider-Man 3 and added aerial combat.
Pfft, that's disappointing, but it doesn't effect my opinion. I think the audience that this game truly appeals to are the true believers, like me. Fans of Spidey and the Marvel universe will like this game, as I will.
Ill think Ill wait for other reviews to come out. Im not expecting big reviews, but this is less than I was expecting for this title.

Because it was based on the Marvel Knights series and not the movie. Hopefully now with Saints Row 2 finished, we can take another walk in Frank Castle's shoes.

Gears of war was so dang easy to beat on Insane, The hardest part about insane was the Exploded wrenches (awful) and the most of all, RAAM (He was really hard) besides that ''the game gotten so easy since your doing the same thing over and over again. Gears of war was so dang easy to beat on Insane, The hardest part about insane was the Exploded wrenches (awful) and the most of all, RAAM (He was really hard) besides that ''the game gotten so easy since your doing the same thing over and over again. internet connection issues
i know this has nothing to do directly with the xbox 360 but its really startin to piss me off. i have a great connection till about one day every few weeks where my conncetion will just be unplayable. it will sign me in but playin cod is not an option. sometimes its a good thing give me some time on single player but i was just wondering if theres anything i can do other than contact my internet provider

The only games that live up to the hype are the games that have no hype to begin with. It amazes me how susceptable to marketting the gaming community is.
Yea the majority of them have mainly because i try not to set my expectations to high for this very reason...........NHL 09 was the only one i hyped and It delivered.......I also wasn't let down by Fable 2 because i loved the original and all they did was build on it and stayed very very true to the fable niche

I had little idea about it before playing, and was blown away by such a fantastic game.Assassin's Creed also exceeded my expectations, after initially disliking what I saw when it launched. Picked it up recently and really enjoyed it from start to finish.

I'm extremely happy with Fable 2, it hit my expectations exactly... but I didn't board the hype train 6 months early, so that helped.

Yeah it's another topic about fable 2. But besides loving Fable 1, one of the things that lead to me buying fable 2 (and loving it right now) was that all the other games were just more shooters to add to my collection of shooters...Fable 2 seemed to stand out as more original even if the concept isn't.What do you think? nice to have a game away from the '' ...

Far Cry 2 or Dead Space
I know that this seems like a really wonky and odd thread...but I really need to make a decision. I have $65. for ONE game. And I have narrowed it down to Far Cry 2 and Dead Space. Yes, they are entirely different but please Read.I want Far Cry 2 because of its insanely good graphics and shoot em up gameplay which I like. But I am worried that the game will get old very fast do to repetitiveness in combat and story. Also the map editor looks cool but i dont even know if its on 360. This also got good reviews as well. I love shooters but I dont want to make the same mistake that I did with Mercs 2.I want Dead Space for its extrememly immersive and terrifying gameplay. I love action horror games the same as FPS. But Dead Space looks so unique and exciting and Fresh! The story is also fantastic. But on the contrary, I think that once I beat the rather short 12 hour campaign...I will get bored and be bored again. It also got amazing reviews!I know this is a rather odd vs topic but I can only get one untill Christmas and I really want to make the right choiuce. Please help! Hands down Far Cry2. Dead space looks like it would be a great movie , but a game with zero multiplayer is like a cake without frosting. Get Far Cry 2 you wont be sorry.
Far cry 2 you will get more value out of it Dead space only has a singleplayer, and you can pick it up later for a cheaper once it price drops.
Dead Space is amazing but Far Cry 2 has more replay value with the online play

Rent Dead Space. It's a very short game. It has 12 levels which you can beat in less than ten hours. I'm on my second play through right now (on fourth level) and I still haven't hit the ten hour mark on medium difficulty. It is very fun while it lasts, but it is also pretty repetitive because of all the backtracking you do. I don't want to make it seem like it's a bad game, but unless you are a huge fan of survival horror games and plan on playing it over and over again, rent it.
Far Cry 2 seems like it has much more replay value, but I haven't played it so I can't comment on it.
get Far Cry 2 and rent Dead Space if you can only buy one game til Christmas

Shipping question - About the box?
When my 360 broke last year, the process to get it fixed was pretty straightforward. MSoft sends you a box with all the necessary padding and packaging you need and you send it on its way back. This time, when I called in six days ago, I had a lot of trouble understanding the tech support woman's accent but just assumed the process was the same. What's confusing me is the box to package my broken 360 in still hasn't arrived. I checked my spam folder and found a couple of emails regarding shipping, which are very oddly worded but seem to indirectly hint that I need to supply the box and package the 360 myself. Is this a new change to the repair system? If so, will Microsoft not repair my 360 if the console isn't perfectly packaged (tight plastic bag and everything they gave me last time)?

Connecting my 360 to my Laptop
I've connected my Xbox 360 directly to my laptop using an ethernet cable. I have Windows XP SP2 and WMP 11, but when I go into media sharing, it shows the 360 as an unknown device. I allow it anyways, but my 360 can't get connect to my laptop, and I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions?Connecting my 360 to my Laptop
You need to set up your laptop as a lan. Go into the control panel and go into Network and internet conections. Then use the setup wizard to set up your laptop as a main hub lan. Then make sure your Local area connection on your connect tab is turned on. Then just run the ethernet cable between your 360 and ethernet port on your laptop and you're all set. Madden 09 Question
I've playing madden 05,06,07 and 08 all on All Pro difficulty and always win with a good amount of touchdowns, but now I tried the madden 09 demo and it was stupid because I couldnt even touch the ball without getting tackled and the hit stick never worked so after 10 tries i finally scored a touchdown, i did really crappy on the IQ test so the demo would be easier but after scoring 234 IQ on purpose the game was the same stupid difficulty.the demo starts as a madden moment and you being the Giants vs Patrios 4rth down 1:35 time left,Is the real game this hard ???

Well they did use wallpaper advertising for the game a few days back, and it has been officially out for awhile now, so I don't see what's keeping them from posting it now. I've heard the theory that some gaming websites weren't given review copies as well, but that's not a valid excuse to ommit a review after a retail release. My theory is that they were influenced by Sega's advertising dollars to either give the game a good score, or not submit a review altogether. I wouldn't usually make such an accusation, but after the Jeff Gerstmann controversy, I see this as a possibility.
GS just reviewed that new Silent Hill game, which came out nearly a month ago, the same can happen here.

I thought that these 2 games, espeacially fable 2, were going to be extraordinary, very unique games like gears of war and its cover system. I still will be pickong both up!:D

Fable 2 Online Co-Op Frustration
So yeah. I'm looking all over google search and I guess no one has come to this issue yet. Has anyone successfully co-oped with someone across the country? Most specifically, say someone from California, who has a Live buddy from Alabama, and these two wish to co-op. I keep getting ''Cannot Join this Game in Session'', plus I cannot see their orb in game. What's the deal?

Q&A for Fable 2 here.
So I got some questions that some people can answer about the new game. Thanks in advance.1. So I'm evil as can be and I killed everyone at the Gypsy Camp, a few people in Bowerstone, and a couple monks. Right now I'm at the Guild Cave, but when I look at my map to go back to Bowerstone, it says I have like 10000g in fines. What if I don't want to pay it? Can I wait and it'll go down? What are the possible actions to make that fine disappear? 2. So I'm scared who to kill because in Fable 1 I remember killing a shop owner, and FOR THE REST OF THE GAME he was still dead. Did they fix that problem in Fable 2? 3. How come this guy completely loves me, but will not follow me? If I put on normal clothes (I'm in an evil sorcerer robe) will he follow?4. Will my wife leave me if I never come to visit her?5. I see a bar on my wife that has a ring with a red line through it. The ring is really close to an angry face (whereas farther away from the happy face). Does this mean she's about to leave me?6. So I raised the prices 100% on all my shops to make maximum profit. I realize this makes me evil, but in what way? I didn't see anything happen each time I raised the prices. makeup skin
Thoughts on my latest 3 games- FarCry2, ...
Fable 2- really fun deep RPG and combat is very fun IMO. Some things are annoying, like when you're trying to express yourself to a certain NPC, everyone else walking around you seems to join in and start flirting with you as well which is rather annoying. I'd rather not be hit on by old guys or gypsies. Graphics are decent, facial animations are great and it is really an enchanting world to play in and you really feel like you're playing a fairy tale(lol..) Far Cry 2- Great game so far for me, I was convinced a few nights ago not to get it but I decided I'd give it a try anyway and I'm glad I did. there's a lot of fun elements to the game that add to the realism, such as milaria pills, health shots, GPS system/map, cellphone, FPS physics (sliding and climbing) and other cool gadgets. What really is awesome are the weapons and the damage you can do. Explosions are pretty sweet and satisfying. Cons for me are that the enemies are really hard to kill and there's a lot of driving to do to get to missions. Not always a bad thing because I think offroading is pretty sweet in this game along with the fact that you can still get out and kill the militia guard posts. Only played one online match and it was pretty good. Glad to see they got a good upgrade system for you're weapons, u still buy certian weapons with diamonds that you have earned. Also a ranking system. My beef with the online play was that the graphics were noticeable toned down and the framerate is iffy. Framerate almost always seems to be iffy though with Ubisoft games.Dead Space- I'm not going to get really into this but I'm not much of a horror fan in games and this is the first I've owned for the 360 (well i own dead rising if tht counts) and it's basically flawless for me. Have yet to experience a glitch. But have had a lot of scares and heart stoppers through the beginnign of the game (only played through Chapter 1) and I just know it will only get worse as the game goes on! Crap! I'm currently on Chapter 8 on Dead Space, good game however I wish I would have just rented it now. Will start on Fable II %26 Far Cry 2 this weekend.

I've only bought Dead Space so far and I absolutely loved it. I tried to get Fable II today, but they were all sold out! And I don't pre-order anymore. Mind you, this was only at my local EB Games, but I recently had jaw surgery, so I didn't want to drive around to look for it. As for Far Cry 2, I might wait a bit to pick that up.
Far Cry looks good, but I'm hesitant to get it simply because Gears 2 and COD:WaW are coming out so soon. I know masses of people will be getting those and playing them every minute they get, so any other shooters look like they will have much smaller communities. Since communities make the game good or bad online, I can't see Far Cry 2 being a big success against such huge competition.

btw what was funy is that i bought the last dead space copy they had until next shipment ALONG with Far Cry 2. I didn't preorder either, and I got the last copy of Far Cry 2 and teh guy at the counter was going to get it. but he decided to sell it to me, he was depressed. I just got FarCry 2 today and I love it so far. The enemies can be a bit of a challenge but that's ok. I kind of like having to take my time and figure out how I want to take them out. I still havn't tried the multiplayer or played with the map editor. Although I mainly bought it for the map editor. I promised myself I would beat the story this time around because I never got around to it with instincts/predator. ''To much fun in the map editor and multiplayer'' :? I'm currently on Chapter 8 on Dead Space, good game however I wish I would have just rented it now. Will start on Fable II %26 Far Cry 2 this weekend.
but I can admit that Fable 2 doesn't do anything innovative with the latest game. So its not like its a must buy in my mind.

I've only bought Dead Space so far and I absolutely loved it. I tried to get Fable II today, but they were all sold out! And I don't pre-order anymore. Mind you, this was only at my local EB Games, but I recently had jaw surgery, so I didn't want to drive around to look for it. As for Far Cry 2, I might wait a bit to pick that up.
Far Cry looks good, but I'm hesitant to get it simply because Gears 2 and COD:WaW are coming out so soon. I know masses of people will be getting those and playing them every minute they get, so any other shooters look like they will have much smaller communities. Since communities make the game good or bad online, I can't see Far Cry 2 being a big success against such huge competition.

btw what was funy is that i bought the last dead space copy they had until next shipment ALONG with Far Cry 2. I didn't preorder either, and I got the last copy of Far Cry 2 and teh guy at the counter was going to get it. but he decided to sell it to me, he was depressed. Gamecrazy is the best, and have the nicest employees.

I have a level 60 profile on Mass Effect, but I got there playing ont he easy mode. Now I want to play on the hardcore mode. PePersonally, I think you should just stick with the PS3 now that you have it. I mean, you already had your 360 and got rid of it, and you could buy a new one if you wanted but then you will be constantly torn over which version of a game to buy for multiplats, and it will take more money for two systems than just one. If you get rid of the PS3, you may turn around and kick yourself again like you did with the 360. So, just have some commitment to your PS3.
With all the recent price drops a new 360 costs less than a Wii, and half what a PS3 costs. I can't see the price getting much lower, and many of the reliability issues have been ironed out with the latest hardware
its hard to commit to something that is so boring...
From a non-fan boy perspective, i think you should side with the 360 if what you are looking for is online play with your friends. Especially with the new features that will be coming out on Nov. 19, Xbox live might be more fun then actually hanging out with your friends... i dont know how i feel about that jsut yet

PePersonally, I think you should just stick with the PS3 now that you have it. I mean, you already had your 360 and got rid of it, and you could buy a new one if you wanted but then you will be constantly torn over which version of a game to buy for multiplats, and it will take more money for two systems than just one. If you get rid of the PS3, you may turn around and kick yourself again like you did with the 360. So, just have some commitment to your PS3.

I haven't been on live for a few days, but decided to get back online again.
I couldn't, so I tested my connection.
All pass, except Xbox Live test.
I asked around if XBOX LIVE is down today, but it's not.
I got to hear about secure network etc., but I don't believe that's the case, since I went online just a few days ago!
A friend joked about me getting banned, but I doubt I got banned. I didn't do anything wrong.
Afterwards, he joked about my account getting deleted for not being online for a few days, which is obviously false.
And it ended with the suspicion of my account getting stolen, but that's unlikely too, since the last time I've played online, was a long time ago and there's no reason for anyone to hack me. Never log in at the site either. E-mail and password etc. are saved on my 360, so I never have to re-enter them.
What could be the problem?

60GB Model / Jasper question
Has Microsoft released any info as to when the 60GB or Jasper chip set in general will be hitting stores? My 2 year old 360 just died, and no not RROD it was the disc drive so no warranty coverage on it anymore. I don't feel like getting a Falcon and having the Jasper come out right after so I'm trying to hold out for that before I replace my dead one.60GB Model / Jasper question

well the 60GB is already out, has been for a month or two. As for the jasper no one really knows but I saw someone post yesterday that it could be 6 months before you start seeing them in stores. Keep in mind once they release them they have to clear through the exsisting stock first before the jaspers will go out.

well no one except for M$ knows for sure. What we do know, or at least have a good guess at, is that it hasnt solved the problem but has at least made it much much better.
I just bought an Elite, and while it does freeze up at times, I don't believe it is due to any heating or other hardware issues. It seems to mostly be when I'm starting up music over the media server connection, then trying to do too many things too quickly and too soon after starting the music, so sometimes it then freezes. GRAW 1 or 2, or RSV 1 or 2?
i haven't gotten into the GRAW series, but im thinking about getting either GRAW 1 or 2. I know the first one scored higher, but im assuming thats because of sequel bias. So for those that have played both, which one is the better game and why? Also, how does the graw series compare with the RSV 1 and 2 as well? I'm just planning on getting 1 game in the tactical shooter genre so im just gonna pick the best oneGRAW 1 or 2, or RSV 1 or 2?

well, if you can get a hold of a memory card without having to buy them ( their a rip off). use that to transfer all your saves and re download all the stuff that you can on the new HDD. Thats what i did when i went from my 20 GB to a 60 gb. but if you have a transfer cable, i think there is some disclaimers and such that come up when u go to use it. The transfer is very simple. It comes with a cd that you put in. You put your new harddrive on the xbox. You plug in the transfer cable into the old harddrive. Plug the cable into the usb slot of the 360. Wait an hour or two not exactly sure how long mine took i got it during xmas so dont remember xD. And then when the set up is complete your all set

well, if you can get a hold of a memory card without having to buy them ( their a rip off). use that to transfer all your saves and re download all the stuff that you can on the new HDD. Thats what i did when i went from my 20 GB to a 60 gb. but if you have a transfer cable, i think there is some disclaimers and such that come up when u go to use it. The transfer is very simple. It comes with a cd that you put in. You put your new harddrive on the xbox. You plug in the transfer cable into the old harddrive. Plug the cable into the usb slot of the 360. Wait an hour or two not exactly sure how long mine took i got it during xmas so dont remember xD. And then when the set up is complete your all set

he obviously went to some local game store that isn't big and convinced them to sell it to him early. When I bought soul calibur 4 on opening day, they said they had been selling it for 3 days already.

So this is to the people who have Far cry 2. Is the multi-player any good, or is the community populatedd like anyone plays online ?? And how is the map-editor??
