its only 1 red light not 3, so relax there young 1 :) check ur wiring n all that, if its lose or not, or let the thing rest, watever damn just got one red light help

i do not know if you heard the towel trick put the thing works do it! Ok first you take off your game disc and harddrive from your xbox second get three towels turn on you xbox 360 wrap the three towels bascially do this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yvJdEo0-Akwait til your ac adapter turns Orange then you will have 2 red rings turn off the system then wait for 30 mins for the system to cool down then you are ready to go.I do it works for 2 weeks then you would have to do it again.

no man STAY AWAY from the towel trick my friend has done it sure it works for a day or two if your lucky but just play it safe and call xbox support.
I just got that error last week. Filled out the repair form on xbox.com and now its on its way back, only a few states away at the moment. Yeah it sucks but stop wasting time and effort with stupid potential fixes. Its more like potential warranty voiding. Log in to xbox.com, under support find repairs. Enter your serial number, describe the error, they send you box, you send it, they send it fixed.
Man, I had the same problem. It is a video problem. So make sure your video cable is plugged in properly. If it isn't, then your graphics card is busted and you need a new one. Mine was under warranty still, so I was fine.
Don't do the towel trick! It's only one light. Either your cables are a little loose or it was overheating. If You didn't play it and turned it on then just un plug all the cables and plug them back in.
Forget the towel trick. It's little more than a last resort for consoles with the RROD that are not covered by Microsoft's warranty. According to this Xbox FAQs, the cause is most likely to be the (H)ANA chip located near the A/V cable connection. Although the FAQs' disclaimer says that it may not be 100% accurate, it's still a good reference and starting point. You may want try another AV cable, if you have access to one, as others have claimed that was a quick fix. Also, the youtube video mention earlier can be found HERE
There is a way to fix it however you have to take your xbox apart its called the penny trick ''youtube'' it works swell, and theres the towl trick it works fantastic and doesnt void your warenty. Do not be ashamed puting towls over your 360 if it works, the ones that deny it are to scared to try it.

im not under warranty i never registered it and it says its registered i played it earlier and turned it on after i came from the store and it didnt work any more how do i check for the chip thing
